  • Yield: 16 bombs (serves 4-6) 1x

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup soft unsalted butter (halal-certified if required)
1 1/2 cups warm water
1/2 cup chopped fresh Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (grated)
1/2 tsp fresh thyme
1/2 tsp fresh parsley (finely chopped)
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 cup seafood mixture (1/2 cup thawed shrimp chunks, 1/2 cup flaked crab meat)
1 cup cream cheese (soft, at room temperature)
2 tbsp olive oil (for brushing)
2 tbsp fresh lemon zest (optional)
2 tbsp garlic butter (mix 1 tbsp vegan garlic-infused oil + 1 tbsp halal-certified butter)

Instructions

1. Prepare garlic bread dough: In a bowl, combine flour, 1/2 cup butter, and 1/2 cup warm water. Knead into a smooth, elastic dough (1-2 minutes). Let rest 10 minutes.
2. Divide into 16 equal portions. Roll each into a small dough ball and flatten into 1/4-inch discs.
3. Infill: Combine shrimp-crab mixture with cream cheese, thyme, parsley, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Scoop 1 tbsp into each dough disc. Pinch edges together to seal into bombs.
4. Final assembly: On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush bombs with olive oil. Sprinkle Parmesan, garlic, and cheddar cheese on tops. Slender brush with garlic butter before baking.
5. Bake: At 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes until golden and puffed.

Notes

Use frozen seafood thawed in fridge overnight
For halal adherence, verify all dairy products are halal-certified
Bombs can be pre-stuffed and frozen (72 hours max) then baked from frozen (15-18 minutes)
Stored in airtight containers up to 2 days
TIP: Add a pinch of smoked paprika for subtle depth
