Ingredients
- 12 lumpia wrappers
- 3–4 sprays cooking spray
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon onion powder, optional
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
- Nutritional yeast, paprika, or cumin, optional and to taste
Instructions
- Remove the lumpia wrappers from the packaging and place them on a clean, dry cutting board.
- Cut each lumpia wrapper into four equal triangular pieces using a sharp knife.
- Arrange the cut wrapper pieces in a single layer on your work surface.
- Lightly spray one side of each wrapper piece with cooking spray.
- Combine the sea salt, garlic powder, optional onion powder, black pepper, and any optional seasonings in a small bowl.
- Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over the sprayed wrapper pieces.
- Flip each piece, lightly spray the opposite side, and season evenly.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F for approximately 3 minutes.
- Arrange the prepared lumpia pieces in a single layer inside the air fryer basket without overlapping.
- Air fry for 12 minutes, shaking the basket gently at the 6-minute mark for even browning.
- Check the chips during the final minutes of cooking and remove them once golden brown and crisp.
- Transfer the cooked lumpia chips to a cooling rack and let them cool for 2 minutes before serving.
Notes
Arrange the chips in a single layer and cook in batches if needed so the hot air can circulate evenly. Use only a light coating of cooking spray, and let the chips cool completely before storing to preserve their satisfying crunch.
